Autumn Change


Autumn change displays the grandeur of transformation. The changing color of the leaves is a visible sign that invites us to reflect on our personal journey of change. In her Autumn Prayer, Sr. Catherine Higgins. shares the hope that we have the wisdom to discern what needs to be left behind and what are the needs of the future.

Though autumn may be the primary seasonal reminder of change, 2020 with its virus has intensified how we change our relationship to others and to our home, the planet earth. Because so many people have cared about the needs of their neighbors, the Sisters of St. Joseph of Baden, PA have been able to reduce food insecurity in Beaver and Allegheny Counties.

Faith. Field. Feast. is an annual farm-to-table dinner held by the Sisters of St. Joseph. Because it could not be held in person this year, the gift of technology helped the Congregation share the beauty and abundance of the Sisters’ gardens and grounds, and the ways to care for the Earth and live sustainability.
